Bob left his body peacefully with full confidence and grace. After graduating from Kelloggsville High School in 1948 he married the love of his life Dolores "Dee" Howe in 1949. He worked for Grand Rapids Press as a Stereotyper beginning in 1950, retiring in 1993 mastering multiple technology changes over those 43 years. He also worked part-time in tax accounting for 18 of those years. He was a problem solver and built not only their home in Wyoming, Michigan but designed, crafted, and installed multiple enhancements for events and to each of their homes. Bob was active in his and Dee's churches and in caring for extended family and enjoyed socializing with multiple friends. He pursued an amazing ministry of creating and sending cards to many he touched.
