Roberta Marguerite Manville, 87 of Traverse City, passed away Monday May 19, 2014 at Munson Medical Center.
Roberta was born on April 28, 1927 in Traverse City to the late Allen and Marguerite (Zoulek) Casselman. She married the late William "Jack" Charles Manville in Traverse City on September 6, 1946 also in Traverse City.

Roberta has been in the area her entire life. She was a dedicated member of the St. Francis Catholic Church and active on the luncheon committee. She worked at Woolworths and Essex Wire and was a homemaker most of her life.
In her younger years she enjoyed fishing and hunting with her father and husband.Also, she loved to play her accordion. She baked amazing cookies, liked to play cards and enjoyed bird watching. Her favorite moments were spent with her family and telling stories. Roberta will be fondly remembered for her funny, witty and outgoing personality. She had a beautiful smile and a caring heart that will be sorely missed.
Roberta is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sons, Samuel and William "Bill" Manville, and brother-in-law Timothy Donnelly.

Surviving Roberta are her children, John (Connie) Manville, Marsha (Richard) Lamie, Daniel (Roseann) Manville, daughter-in-law Donna (Daryl) Poff, grandchildren, Patricia (Robert ) Lung, Jim Lamie, Fred Lamie, Leah Manville, Lindsey (Jeremy) Sanborn, Casey Manville, Catilyn Manville, great grandchildren, Katya, Craig, Gage, Dion, Peyton, Cameron and Landon, sister Donna Donnelly and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27 from 5PM-7PM at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11AM on Wednesday, May 28 at the St. Francis Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10AM. The Rev. Fr. Kenneth Stachnik will officiate. Burial will take place at the Oakwood Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials in Roberta's name may be directed to the Fr. Fred Foundation or to a charity of one's choice.
