Robin Stewart Ennis, 52, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.

Robin was born on September 3, 1959 in Royal Oak, MI to Earl and Beverly (Solem) Ennis III.

Robin graduated from Northport High School in 1978, NMC in 1982 and Ferris State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. He was an active member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Robin was a very loving, caring and giving family man who was always very proud of his three beautiful daughters. He loved to watch them perform in their school plays and piano recitals. Robin was a skilled woodworker who created many beautifully detailed shelves, cabinetry, benches, stools and unique wood carvings. He always liked a challenge to create or improve things to work more effectively.

He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, competed in motocross, nature and playing video games with his daughters and friends. Robin was fascinated and very knowledgeable about astronomy and was discovering golf with his girlfriend Lisa.

Although not a trained service dog his beloved American Eskimo, Duchess, was always "on duty". He also cared very much for his cat Josie.

Surviving Robin are his daughters, Debra, Kelsey, and Gina Ennis, his parents Earl and Beverly, siblings, Earl H. "Skip" (Sharon) Ennis IV, Jane (Randall) Ball, and Joan (Donald "Jake" Jr.) Williams, girlfriend, Lisa Goodman, beloved furry friends, Duchess and Josie, and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation for Robin will take place on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 4-8pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 21, 2012 also at the funeral home with visitation held one hour prior. Burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery.
