Ronald James Brown, 87, of Lake Ann passed away peacefully at the Grand Traverse Pavilions on April 13, 2023.

Ron was born on July 25, 1935 in Winter, WI to the late Ernest "Truman" and Ann (Nelson) Brown.

On January 13, 1973, Ron married Mary Ellen Muzzarelli.

Ron had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was a member of the Inland Baptist Church in Interlochen and the Lake Ann Lions Club where he served as a past president.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; sister and her husband Beatrice (Torrey) Jacobsen and sister-in-law Barb Brown.

Ron is survived by his wife Mary Ellen; son Kurt (Angelique) Brown of Eden Prarie, MN and daughter Lee-ellen (Ken) Bailey of Gladstone; grandchildren Abigail, Sophia, Greyson, Gabriel and Lillian; siblings Charlotte Poor, Kenneth (Jan) Brown, Edwin Brown, Wendell (Marilyn) Brown and Norman (Jan) Brown; and many other family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 11 am with visitation beginning at 10 am. A luncheon will follow.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Inland Baptist Church Missions Fund or to Parkinsons Network North.
