Ronald "Ron" C. Galla, 52, of Traverse City passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at his home. Ron was born on May 28, 1962 in Cadillac, Michigan to Anthony and Georgetta (Nowlin) Galla. He was married to Angie Tobian on July 8, 2000. He graduated from Glen Lake School in 1980. Ron was employed as a Team Leader with Alcotec Wire Corporation in Traverse City. He attended First Church of the Nazarene. Ron loved to be outdoors, spending time with family and friends hunting, fishing or working on his cabin is what gave him his greatest joy.

Ron is survived his loving wife, Angie, five sons and two daughters; Ben Galla, Tony Galla, Ashley Forton, Stephanie Forton, Max Galla, Nick Galla and Aaron Galla, his mother, Georgetta Galla, brothers and sisters; David (Pam) Galla, Donna (Gene) Peterson, Bonnie Schwartz, Jeanette (Rick) Theisen. Also surviving are mother-in-law, Linda McClain as well as a sister-in-law, three brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Galla.

A funeral service honoring Ron will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1023 South Division St., Traverse City 49684 with visiting one hour prior to service. Pastor Rick Rice will officiate.
