Ronald (Ron) gained immortality with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 26. He was born November 4, 1936, in Barton County, Missouri, to Fred and Annice (Heiskell) Fite. He married Myrna Jean Medlin on November 22, 1957, in Lamar, Missouri.
Ron earned BA and MA degrees at Central Bible College in Springfield, MO and a Masters in Teaching English and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University.
Upon moving to Michigan, he pastored the Allegan Assembly of God Church, later becoming a teacher and school administrator with Allegan Public Schools for 15 years. He moved to Traverse City in 1981, accepting a position as Associate Superintendent with Traverse City Area Public Schools until he retired in 1995.
Ron was a member of Living Hope Church and enjoyed doing volunteer work for the church in many and various capacities. One of his greatest joys was time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his wife, Myrna, daughter, Rhonda J. (Dan) White, son, Martin (Tobbe) Fite, sisters: Lois (Bill) Ogle of Reeds, MO, Loretta (Bob) Hines of Milo, MO. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Justin White, Connor White, Kelsey White, Michael Fite, Kyle Fite, Amber Winowiecki and Courtney Longton, and five great-grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Charles Fite, and a sister, Naomi (Fite) Heckadon.

There will be a celebration of Ron's life held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at East Bay Calvary Church, 2225 East Hammond Road, Traverse City, Michigan. Pastor Carey Waldie will officiate.
