Ronald "Ron" J. Nottage, age 68, of Buckley, Michigan, formerly of Traverse City, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. Ron was born on February 8, 1956 in Traverse City, Michigan to the late Chet and Gladys (Birdsey) Nottage.

Ron was married to Sally (Winchester) Nottage from 1975-2011, together they had five children. He served our country in the Navy, from 1975-1993. He loved being in the Navy, and supporting our veterans- always donating his spare money to the VA every chance he got. In his free time, Ron loved watching NASCAR while enjoying his peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, with a cold glass of milk.

Ron is survived by his five children, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, and a sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff of Hospice of Michigan for their care and compassion for Ron.

A memorial service honoring Ron's life, and his service to our country, will take place at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684.

Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the Cherryland V.F.W. Post 2780 and American Legion Post 35.
