Ronald Woodson Tuck

Mr. Ronald (Ron) Woodson Tuck went home to the Lord on August 20, 2018, at the age of 87 after battling a long illness. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on December 30, 1930, to the late Frank and Bernice Tuck. Ronald graduated from Adrian College in 1954 where he became a member of the ATO fraternity and became an All-American football player. From 1954 to 1956, Ronald served in the Army and then went on to work as an air traffic controller until his retirement in 1990. Ronald was happily married to the late Gloria Joanne (VanTongerloo) Tuck. He will be dearly missed by his sons: Martin Joseph Tuck and his wife, Suzanne; Gregory Phillip Tuck and his wife, Mingshan; daughter: Kristina Anne Nero and her husband, Daniel; and sister: Virginia Gott; along with 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. During his life he enjoyed soaring, sailing, and travel. He served on the church council at First Baptist Church in Traverse City. The family welcomes you to join them for calling hours on August 25, from 5:00-8:00 pm or August 26, from 1:00-2:00pm. The funeral service will be held Sunday, August 26, at 2:00 pm after which the family and friends will process to Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens for burial. The services will be held at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, Michigan, 49684. The family invites donations in Ronald's name to Love.Inc.
