Rosaline M. Bolek

Traverse City - Rosaline M Bolek, 70, of Traverse City MI, died Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City surrounded by her loving son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

Rosaline was born on Wednesday, July 18, 1945 to the late Versle and Irene (Bembeneck) McLain in Traverse City, MI, out on Old Mission Peninsula.

She worked for Big John Inc.. for 27 years before retiring in 1998. After retirement, Rosie loved to play cards, do puzzles, canning vegetables and to watch Westerns, especially "The Duke" John Wayne. However, the most precious part for Rosie was being a grandmother to her three perfect grandchildren. She would affectionately refer to them as "her legs".

Rosie was a very warm hearted woman with a great attitude and an infectious spirit.

Rose is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Jenell (Rokos) Gauthier, Lake Ann, MI. Her three beautiful grandchildren; Garrett, Leland and Jillian, her second mother, Joan Bembeneck, three brothers; Doug Bembeneck of Traverse City, MI, Matt Bembeneck of Traverse City, MI and Tom Bembeneck of Traverse City, MI, her sister Cathy (Tom) Henkel, Williamsburg, MI and nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.

Rosaline was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Kenny Bembeneck and Johhny Bembeneck, sisters; Margaret McLain and Theresa Flansburg and uncle, Ray Bembeneck.

Visitation for friends and family will be held Monday January 25 from 4pm until 7pm at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7pm.
A Mass Of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Church on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at 10:30am with Rev. Kevin Francis officiating. There will be a visitation from 9:30am-10:30am at St. Francis the day of the service.

Private family services will also be occurring in the spring for burial.
