Roseada was a beautiful woman with a smile that would light up the room, bringing joy to everyone she met. She very much enjoyed time with her family, playing cards, and listening to a variety of music.
Born in Mathias Township to parents James M. Tweedale of Algoma, Wisconsin, and Eva May McDonald of Copemish, Michigan.
Roseada was the last of her siblings to survive. She lived at Grand Traverse Pavilions for the last 11 years, passed away the evening of Sunday, October 9, 2022 at the age of 102. Roseada had lived on the family farm in Trout Lake, MI, Upper Peninsula, along with 20 siblings. Early on, she was a Nurse Attendant working with the nuns in hospitals. She married Leonard J. Bagroski, (who was in the United States Coast Guard) in Marquette, MI, at Saint Peter Cathedral, on January 27th 1945.
Together they purchased their first home in Traunik, Michigan, near Limestone, with forty acres, where their first son Leonard S. was born. After living there for a few years they purchased a home in Dearborn, Michigan where their daughter Cheryl A. was born, and later sons Raymond and Gerald. Because of her husband's trade having been in the tool and die industries and location of employment, she moved to the west side of Detroit near Dearborn's border. Roseada lived many years there, employed at Federal Warehouse in the cosmetic department until the warehouse closed. Roseada was famous for her homemade pies, which gave her employment opportunities in the wedding business. She lived there until her husband passed away in 1973.
In 1984, she moved with her daughter to a farm in Northern Michigan where she helped to raise three of her grandchildren, James Lee, Brian Adrian, and Amber Rose Kaminski.
Rose leaves behind her children Carolyn Henderson, Leonard Bagroski, Cheryl (Charlie) Hilton and Raymond (Sandra) Bagroski; grandchildren James (Stacey), Brian (Brooke), Bonnie (Gary), Karen (Will), Linda, Dianne (Brad), Erik and Caitlyn (Ryan); great-grandchildren Aislynn, Madelyn, Preston, Riley, Peyton, Lucas, Michelle Renee, Zachary, Brayden, Rachel and Rylynn; great-great granddaughter Liliana; and many extended nieces, nephews and family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leonard; son Gerald and granddaughter Linda.
The Family would like to also express their gratitude at Grand Traverse Pavilions to all the staff members, nurses, doctors, and CNAs for their support and extraordinary care. She truly had the best possible love, care and support anyone could hope for.
Thank you also to Hospice of Michigan and Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home for their very respectful and caring guidance during Rose's end of life care.
A graveside service was held in Traverse City's Oakwood Catholic Diocesan Cemetery.
