Obituary

Rosetta "Rosie" Louise Moore, 80 of Traverse City passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Ritter's Senior Adult Living Center.

Rosie was born on June 21, 1932 in Huntingburg, IN to the late Frank E. and Isabella (Fark) Kahle. She married the late Kenneth T. Moore on June 10, 1956. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1995.

Farming was very important to Rosie. And when she was not on the farm she worked in the kitchen and was a cook at Twin Lakes Camp for 25 years . She especially loved to garden, go on walks and take care of the animals. The barn cats, cattle and dogs always held a special place in her heart thru the years.

During Cherry Season Rosie took care of all the workers, making three wonderful square meals a day, cleaning and laundry. Rosie was unable to have children so her Godchildren, Penny and Tim Beaton were also very important to her. Through the years she watched them grow up and loved to be a part of their lives. Rosie will be remembered for her hard work ethic, delicious cooking skills and as a wonderful wife, Godmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Rosie is survived by her Godchildren Penny and the late Jack Riley, Timothy (Debbie) Beaton, God Grandchildren, Guy, Katrina and Dakota Beaton, Paul, Tim, Jeremy, and Michael Riley, nephew Delbert Kahle and many other friends.

A memorial service will be held on what would have been Rosie's 81st Birthday, at 11am on Friday June 21, 2013 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a visitation held one hour prior. In lieu of flowers prays and thoughts are appreciated
