Ruby E. Porath, 92, of Traverse City, formerly Ohio, passed away October 27, 2017.
Ruby was born November 2, 1924 to the late Charles and Ruth (Case) Betts. She lived in Northwest Ohio the majority of her life and attended the Edon School System up until graduation.
On September 4, 1942, she married Ronald L. Porath and togther they built a wonderful life.
Although small in stature, Ruby was big in personality. She was full of tenacity, had an easy going disposition, and was always happy and loved unconditionally.
Six years ago, Ruby and her daughter moved to Traverse City. She enjoyed the day trips they would take to the bridge and back, as well as being outside in the spring and summer to listen to the birds, watch nature and appreciate all the gifts Mother Nature provided.
She will be remembered always for her love to fish, her expert skill of crocheting and knowing that she had a life well lived.
Ruby is survived and missed dearly by her daughter Debra Taylor, her son Steve (Jan) Porath, 4 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
Ruby's final resting place is the Sherwood Cemetery in Ohio next to her husband.
