TRAVERSE CITY — Russel G. "Russ" Wallace, 42, of Traverse City; born June 29, 1969, in Bay City, died Wednesday evening, June 29, 2011, from injuries sustained in an accident. Russ is survived by his loving wife, Sheri Wallace, of Traverse City; his adoring children, Geoffrey, Gregory and Alisabeth; parents, Ron and Joan Wallace, of Lake Ann; siblings, Dr. Bethany Wallace, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Wendi (Edd) Broderick, of White Lake, and Randal G. (Rhonda Johnson) Wallace, of Bay City; along with many nieces and nephews.Russ lived life to the fullest. He was a very active man who had many interests and pursuits, included hunting, biking, basketball and water sports. He loved even more sharing these hobbies with his family and friends. Dedication to his family, community and career defined Russ. He was a warm, eloquent person who touched the lives of so many.Russ spent his career in automotive sales. He was a 10-year associate of the Bill Marsh Automotive Group, where he worked as a Director.The Wallace family will receive friends today, July 2, 2011, from 4 to 7 p.m., with the funeral service at 7 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, MI 49684. The Rev. Daniel Farkas will officiate.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a trust fund for his children, in the name of Sheri Bilow Wallace Estate at Chase Bank, Trust Department, 250 E.
