Ruth "Mickie" Heyboer
June 12, 1921 — May 8, 2022
Ruth "Mickie" Heyboer, 100, entered into eternal life on Mother's Day May 8, 2022 with her beloved family, daughter and best friend Marva, son-in-law Tim, and granddaughter Tami by her side.
Mickie was born on June 12, 1921 to the late Louis and Jennie (VanderSys) Timmerman.
On July 19, 1946 she married the love of her life Arthur. After Arthur passed away, Mickie spent the next 25 years living with her sister in Grand Rapids. Together, affectionately called Laverne and Shirley they had more fun than most can imagine.
In 2015 Mickie along with her daughter and son-in-law relocated to Traverse City.
Her infectious smile, kind spirit and love for all people will be missed. To know Mickie was a true blessing.
Mickie is survived by her children Marva (Tim) Sinclair and Lee (Cynthia) Heyboer. Grandchildren: Tamara Heyboer, Danielle (Nick) Cwikla and Joseph, Jonathan, Joshua, Megan and Kate Heyboer. She also leaves two great grandchildren Thomas John Heyboer as well as Taylor Heyboer, daughter-in-law Lois Quillan and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two beloved sons Thomas and Rick Heyboer.
