Kingsley - Ryan Louis Chouinard, 31, of Kingsley passed away January 29, 2013.
Ryan was born on October 9, 1981 in Traverse City to Rodney and Linda (Pickard) Chouinard.
On May 22, 2010, Ryan married the former Kimberly May Strang.
Ryan was a great husband and devoted father to his two daughters Kenzey and Kenna. He recently started his own business, R & R Tree Service. In his spare time he enjoyed building things, camping, hunting and fishing. He loved to stand by the camp fire in the company of his family and friends. He was an extraordinary father. He spent hours each day with his children playing outside, doing homework together building snowmen, and listening to music in the garage.
Ryan was a hard working, selfless man who would do anything for anybody and never expected something in return. He was an excellent cook and could make something delicious out of nothing. Ryan also liked to ride his bike and built a motor for his pedal bike. He had a knack for fixing things including Kim's car. Whenever he left the house, whether for work or just to work in his garage, he always kissed Kim good bye. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family and especially his wife and kids, mother and father and brother Craig.
Ryan is survived by his wife Kim, and daughters Kenzey and Kenna, parents Rodney and Linda of Traverse City, brother Craig of Traverse City, grandfather Robert Chouinard of Winter Haven, Fl., and grandma Alice Chouinard of Traverse City, father-in-law Thomas Strang, mother-in-law Christy Dunham, sister-in-law Barbara Strang, nephews Damon and Ayden, and nieces Cora, Hailey, and Isabella.
Ryan was preceded in death by his grandpa Larry "Slim" Chouinard and grandma Marie Chouinard.
Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. The service of remembrance will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00 am also at the funeral home. Ryan will be laid to rest at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
