Sally passed away peacefully September 22, 2025.
She was born March 7th, 1940, in Lake Ann, MI, the daughter of Bert and Martha (Dezelski) Richardson. She attended Honor High School where she was Homecoming Queen her senior year, graduating in 1958.
She lived most of her life in Traverse City, MI, raising her three sons in this beautiful area. She received a certification as a hearing/vision technician from Wayne State University. For many years, she served as the hearing technician for the local area school system, the migrant program and the Medicare program for adults. After several years as an audio technician in a physician's office, she was employed by the State of Michigan Disability Determination Services, retiring in 2002.
Sally enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was involved with the Boy Scouts for many years, the Cherryland Garden Club and an Administrative Volunteer for the GT Regional Land Conservancy. She enjoyed the musical and art offerings of the area and her continuing education classes at NMC. She had a passion for being outdoors, gardening, hiking, the botanical gardens and visits to Lake Michigan.
She is grateful for her family and friends who shared her life's journey, especially her sons, who brought love, joy, and adventure into her life.
She leaves behind three sons: Tim (Carol), Darrell (Joice), and Jerry (Cynthia) and grandchildren Garrett, Jennifer and Jonathon.
She was preceded in death by her siblings John, Barbara, Jerry and Ed. Remaining are her brothers Harold, Delbert, and many nieces and nephews.
