Sandra Marie Barsheff, 73, of Traverse City, passed away October 13, 2022, with her beloved husband at her side.
She was born on June 11, 1949, to the late George and Elia (Facca) Zilli in Detroit, MI.
Sandi was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her extreme kindness and compassion were felt by those around her throughout her life. She was absolutely loved by everyone that she crossed paths with. Her witty spirit and ability to joke around to make you laugh made one feel like a friend no matter your age. She was a pillar of strength for her family and friends and took on life with such grace and tenacity. All that Sandi did she did with love and devotion to her family, friends, and Lord.
After meeting her husband of 53 years, her adventures in life really began. They devoted a lot of time at their lake front home, boating and Sandi loved her flower gardens. They also greatly enjoyed spending some of the winter months in Florida with many friends, old and new.
Her bright smile, joyful laughter and loving spirit will be sorely missed.
Sandi took great pride in everything that she did, whether it was tending to her flowers, cooking, spending time with family, which was very important to her, or volunteering at her church.
She is survived and missed dearly by- husband, Keith, daughter Karin (Shawn) Boyd, Brian (Dori) Barsheff, grandson Cameron Boyd, & granddaughter Taylor (Ben) Wyatt. Her siblings Gary (Debbie) Zilli, Larry (Linda) Zilli, Debbie Zilli, David Zilli, Brian (Lisa) Zilli & Michael (Kelly) Zilli and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by- both her parents.
The family will receive guests from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home on October 18, 2022. A mass will be on Wednesday October 19, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with visitation from 10:00am until the beginning of mass.
Memorial contributions in Sandi's honor may be directed to Father Fred or Saint Jude's.
