Traverse City-Sandra Sue McClain, 60, known to all as Sue, was called home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Sept. 13th, 2012.
Born on July 29th, 1952 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Sue grew up on Golden Valley Ranch near Empire, attending Glen Lake High School. Sue graduated college from Western Michigan University and has lived most of her adult life in Traverse City.
Sue was the loving daughter of Wesley and Sarah McClain and a devoted mother to her daughter, Sarah Johnson. Along with her parents and daughter, Sue is also survived by her two brothers, John (Julie) and Cliff (Millie) McClain, as well as many other family and friends. Private graveside services will be held at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday September 21, 2012, at Living Hope Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Women's Cancer Fund at 210 Beaumont Place, Traverse City, MI 49684 or Living Hope Church at 3050 S Airport Road West, Traverse City, MI 49684.
