Obituary

Sara Eileen (Kevwitch) Faught, 46, of Interlochen passed away January 24, 2025 at her home.

Sara was born on August 24, 1978, to Dennis and Linda (Peart) Kevwitch, Sara grew up in Traverse City, Michigan. A proud graduate of Traverse City Central High School in 1997, she went on to attend Northwestern Michigan College.

Sara's work ethic and willingness to help others were evident in her early jobs at McDonald's, Tower Automotive, and Bill Marsh Automotive, where she worked as a detailer, receptionist, and even contributed to commercials. Her determination shone through in all she did.

As a young woman, Sara embraced her passions with enthusiasm. She ran for the Traverse City Cherry Queen, modeled in high school, and excelled in bodybuilding, earning first and third-place competition honors. Sara also shared her artistic talent by designing the tree mascot for Interlochen Schools in third grade, a testament to her creativity and skill.

Sara found joy in life's simple pleasures, from shopping, visiting the Silver Lake Dog Park, and enjoying the beach to tubing down the river-her happy place. She loved camping, boating, and spending time outdoors. Her adventures included the Detroit Car show with her Dad.

In Feb of 2008 Sara married David Faught, together, they raised their beautiful daughter Victoria "Tori."
Sara is survived by her daughter Tori Faught, her parents Dennis and Linda Kevwitch, her sister Rhonda (Kenneth) Gates, nephews Trace and Ashton Gates, her significant other Brent Spicer, many aunts and uncles, step-children and cousins. Her many special friends and her pride and Joy, her German Shepard Bolt.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:30pm on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a visitation starting at 2:30pm. Her service will be recorded and you can also view it via livestream at rjfh.tv or www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com . Deacon Rene Hoenschied will officiate. Burial will eventually take place at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
