Sarah Nicole Ebling

Sarah Ebling, age 39, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026. She was born on May 18, 1986 in Findlay, Ohio to Victoria and Douglas Ebling. Sarah was a loving soul that was kind, empathetic, and deeply devoted to those she held close. She had a natural warmth about her that drew people in effortlessly, and she loved harder than anyone who knew her could ever forget. She made life lasting friendships with almost everyone she ever came across. She was truly a guiding light for those close to her. She was a protector at heart, always putting the needs and happiness of her loved ones above her own. She also had a warrior’s spirit, never letting any of her physical limitations hold her back and continuing to push herself to be the best possible version of herself she could be. Sarah met her soulmate Alex in 2013 at Navy Pier in Chicago, where their story began. Their connection was immediate and grew into a lasting love, and they were married in 2019 in a winter wonderland in Harbor Springs, Michigan, building a life centered around family, love, and shared dreams. Her greatest joy in life was her children. Sarah had a special gift for making life feel magical, especially during the holidays. Whether it was thoughtful gifts, creative traditions, or simply the way she filled a room with love and excitement, she made every season unforgettable. She always found new ways to bring joy and wonder into her children’s lives, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Sarah also found joy in creativity and beauty. She loved photography, gardening, interior design, and crafts, passions that reflected her eye for detail and her desire to make the world around her more beautiful and meaningful Sarah is survived by children Penelope and Knollen, husband Alex, and mother Victoria. Sarah will be remembered for her radiant spirit, her endless love, and the light she brought into every life she touched. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. A Memorial service celebrating Sarah will take place at 11:00am with visitation starting at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684 with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Great Lakes Children’s Museum (greatlakeskids.org).
