Sarah Ann Favara, 39, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2022, after a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. She was born to Dominic and Karen (Miller) Favara in Saginaw, Michigan along with her sister and best friend Dana. With her bubbly personality, friendly face, boisterous laugh, and fantastic sense of humor, Sarah made friends—turned family—everywhere she went and cherished so many meaningful, long-lasting relationships. Although her time on earth was cut short, she lived out loud with love, joy, and a zest for life.
Sarah enjoyed a career as a Medical Massage Therapist, getting her training at Blue Heron Academy where she later taught students her love of Massage. Sarah also performed many wedding ceremonies as an ordained minister and provided support and comfort to many women and new families through her work as a Birthing Doula.
Sarah loved exploring the outdoors with her puppy, "Buddy." Her happy place was on the beach with her toes in the sand or rock hunting for Petoskey stones or Leland Blues. Sarah was also a fantastic cook and baker. She passed on her love of baking to her nieces with many in-home "Nailed It!" challenges.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Grandma Barbie (Miller), and Grandpa and Grandma Favara. She is survived by her beloved boyfriend, Greg Gulick. Her sister, Dana (Richard) Shoskey and their children Eliza, Hazel, and Gracie. She is also survived by her sister from another mister, Ammie Jensen.
Honoring Sarah's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place on the beach at the Delamar on June 26, 2022 at 11 am.
For Aunt Sarah:
Sarah is forgiving
She will help you when you're down.
She can even turn a frown all the way upside down.
Her laugh is so majestic
and she will help you find the right perspective.
--With Love, Eliza
