SCOTT ALLEN KITTS

TRAVERSE CITY - Scott Allen Kitts, age 53, of Traverse City, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home in the care of his loving family.

Scott is survived by his wife and best friend Michelle, children; Anthony, Jack, Caroline, his parents; Richard Kitts, Rochelle LeBourdais, and stepfather Ed LeBordais, sisters; Michelle (Mike) Bieri, Robin (John) Monville, Jill LeBourdais, and Lane (Ray) Johnston, mother-in-law, Jacki (Joe) Johnson, sister-in-law, Lisa (Ed Valliere) Corbat, nieces & nephews; Michael, Alexandra, Ashton, and Samantha Bieri, Hailey and Collin Heideman, Derek and Devin Johnston, JT and Emily Corbat. Scott is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and of course his canine companion, Blu.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony (Eugenia) Kitts and Albert (Leonore) Kula, step-grandparents, Orville (Alfreda) LeBourdais, and step-mother, Veronica Kitts.

Scott was born on October 2, 1965 in Bay City to Richard Kitts and Rochelle LeBourdais. Scott grew up in Linwood, MI where he attended school and graduated from Pinconning High School. After graduating from high school Scott attended Central Michigan University before accepting a position with Coca Cola as a District Manager. While Scott was working for Coca Cola he met Michelle and the two were married on March, 26 2001.

Scott and Michelle made Traverse City their home as Scott accepted a position with AAA of Michigan and later became Director of Field Operations. Scott loved running with Michelle on the TART Trail and participating in races. He was a very devoted and involved father who coached numerous sports for all three of his kids: Anthony, Jack, and Caroline. Even when he wasn't coaching he never missed a game. As a break from their busy lives, Scott and his family always looked forward to their annual trips to Siesta Key, FL.

Scott and his family loved living in Northern Michigan where they made many new friendships, and created wonderful memories. They enjoyed skiing together, and taking their boat to Elk Lake. He had a love for all music. One of his fondest and most recent memories was taking his daughter, Caroline to her first concert.

A visitation for Scott will take place from 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City MI 49684 with a prayer service and time of sharing beginning at 7:00 pm.

A second visitation will take place from 12:00 - 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Rivertown Funeral Chapel, 209 S Huron Rd Kawkawlin MI 48631 with a prayer service and time of sharing beginning at 4:00 pm.
