Scott Calvin Manning, 16 of Williamsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 26, 2014.
Scott was born on October 16, 1997 in Santa Rosa, CA to Michael Calvin Manning and Jan Alexandria (Meacham) Manning, D.D.S.
For all who knew Scott his infectious smile and warm nature will be sorely missed. Scott, aka Scotty, was an avid soccer player who loved fishing, playing cards, track and golf. Scott loved to spend his summers camping where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Scotty had a love of travel, enjoying trips to places like Disney, Yosemite and Niagara Falls. He liked hanging out with his brother Greg, gaming on his Xbox and Nintendo, and playing with his dog Zoe. Scott, an honor student at Elk Rapids High School was a wonderful kid with a beautiful smile and kind heart. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Surviving Scott are his parents, Mike and Jan, brother Gregory Alexander Manning, paternal grandparents, Calvin and Nancy Manning, maternal grandparents, David and Phyllis Meacham, aunts and uncles, Paul (Denise) Manning, Mark (Angel) Manning, Lynn Roth, and Kathleen (David) Farwell and many other loving family members and friends.
A visitation / memorial service will be held for Scott on Saturday May 3, 2014 with visitation from 9am – 10am and memorial service starting at 10am at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Pastor Justin Grimm will serve as officient. Memorial contributions may be directed to Honor State Bank, to be received by Elk Rapids Boys Soccer Team and others.
