Scott T. Peterson, 64, of Williamsburg. On Sunday morning January 2, 2022, Scott passed away in his home surrounded by his wife and daughters, whom he adored tremendously after his battle with cancer. He is now rejoicing in the arms of his Lord.
Scott was a personable and compassionate man. He had such an impact on everyone that he met. Being a Farm Bureau agent was not just a job for Scott, it was his passion to develop relationships with people. He considered his fellow agents and his clients as part of his family.
Scott enjoyed the great outdoors, golfing, going for hikes, walks and traveling. He and his family took many trips together, creating lasting memories that they will cherish forever.
Scott was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He leaves behind his loving wife, Diane, and two beautiful daughters, Emily and Kendra. His father Norman (Bonnie) Peterson, three sisters, Susan (Richard) Shively, Rene Robbins and Lisa Freeman, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Poppy Nash, step-father, Bud Nash and his brother, Bradley Peterson.
A visitation will take place on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St. Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
A funeral service honoring Scott will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m., at Haven of Hope Church, 7801 E. Harrys Rd. Traverse City, Michigan 49684. A meal and time of fellowship will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial donation to Scott's family c/o Diane Peterson.
