Sean Matthew Crean, 39, of Lake Ann, MI passed home to Jesus quietly with his family close Sat., Jan. 30th. He was born in Alpena, MI on Oct. 7th, 1981, his family moved to Detroit where he lived until relocating to Traverse City.
Sean was a vibrant and suave soul; he was a very active person. Sean loved to travel, and one of his happiest places on earth was none other than Disney World. He loved to dance, watch movies, cook, and being rather nostalgic at times, loved to play old Nintendo video games. He also loved to play baseball and enjoyed sports in general. He was witty and fun, and goofing around with friends was one of his favorite past times.
Sean was an exceptional giver, and in the end has shared his heart with Gift of Life. His brilliant mind helped many find their way through difficult situations, and his charm won him the girl of his dreams. On Oct. 10th, 2020 Sean married his best friend and love of his life, Krystle Beth Berg. Sean lived a very full life, at times almost enchanted. He will be remembered for his beautiful goodness, his caring concern, and his many "Seanisms." He would claim loving to be the center of attention with his "the man" line, but truth be told, when things went down, he always had your back if you were on his team.
Sean was preceded in death by his parents, Gregory James and Chere Janine (Messer) Crean.
Sean is survived by his wife, Krystle; daughter, Briella Crean; Briella's mom, Angela; siblings Jeremy (Tiffany Burt) Crean, Jhessa (George Solomon), Raychel (Don) Flannigan, Aaron Crean; nephews Conner Flannigan and Gregory Crean; in-laws Pastor Doyle & Beth Berg (Dad and Mom); brother-in-law Doyle "Kelly" Berg III and many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Fri., Feb. 5, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. The celebration of Sean's life will take place on Sat., Feb. 6th, 2021 at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning one hour prior at Christ Community Church. The service will also be livestreamed at
