Sharon Hamacher, 90, of Traverse City peacefully left this world on January 10, 2024. Born on September 6, 1933, in Traverse City, MI, she was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Minnie Stephenson and sister to Walt, Gene, and Larry.

Sharon married her love, Robert Hamacher and enjoyed life's adventures for 59 years. Together they raised two children, Michael and Laura. She found joy and purpose in her career, initially serving as a lunch aide at TCAPS and later dedicating the rest of her working years as a school transportation aide, where she formed meaningful connections with her coworkers.

In her leisure time, Sharon relished moments at the Casino with her girlfriends and embarked on adventurous road trips across the country with her husband. Her heart was full when surrounded by family and friends, and she was known for being an exceptional neighbor to those fortunate enough to know her.

Sharon is survived by her children, Michael Hamacher and Laura 'Lori' (Steve) Bongard. She is also survived by grandchildren Jim (Jackie) Bongard and Adam (Athena) Bongard , and four great-grandchildren, Calvin, Aiden, Cassidy, and Ted. She is preceded in death by her siblings, parents, and husband, Robert.

Come springtime, Sharon will find her final resting place at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
