Sheila Suzanne Barber

Kingsley--Sheila Suzanne Barber, 56, Loving Friend, Wife and Mother passed away on March 16, 2013 at Harper University Hospital in Detroit of an incurable Disease. She was born Sept 14, 1956 at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. Sheila was a devoted wife and mother, who loved to work in her flower gardens, sew, knit and go camping with friends Sally King and David Reed. Her favorite place to camp was Hartwick Pines by Grayling and walk among the huge trees. There is a little chapel amongst the trees she always had to stop at and read the message by the altar.

She was employed at Morrison Industrial Equipment for 27 years doing multiple Office Jobs, but her title was Assistant Service Manager. Sheila attended Elk Rapids High School and graduated in 1974. She took classes at NMC in Sign Language to help with some customers who were hard of hearing and also did some volunteer work in Sign Language at NMC. Sheila tried to give blood when ever possible and was also on the Bone Marrow donors list until she found out about her medical problem.

She left behind Duane her husband & Friend of 36 years and her son Scott Matthew age 32. She is survived by Sister Gloria (Bill) White of Middleport NY, Brother Ronald Smith of Phoenix AZ, Brother Robert (Janet) Smith of Phoenix AZ and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews around the country. She was proceeded in death by her parents Robert & Lita (Ashworth) Smith, Niece Kari White and granddaughter Aubrey Lynn Barber.

Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
