Shelley Marie Moore, 71, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2023 with her family by her side

Shelley was born on February 13, 1952, to Edmund and Marilyn Hartley. With her wit and sense of humor, she made her family and friends laugh often. Shelley had a love for celebrating the holidays and passed along that love to her family. She had a talent for spinning tales, with a particular fondness for spooky stories. Her heart had a special place for animals and she volunteered her time to the Peace Ranch in Northern Michigan, lending a helping hand to abused horses.

Shelley passed on her love of books and storms to her family. She imparted to her daughters a sense of strength and independence, encouraging them to pursue their careers through education.

Shelley adored her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren and enjoyed the time she spent with them.

She is survived by:

Siblings Kelly Hartley and Marcie (Steve) Nemetz and daughters Holly (Kurt) Moore, Carly (Brandon) Fewins, and Katie (Jon) Wakeman. She also leaves behind her beloved twin grandsons Colton and Wyatt.

Shelley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill and her sister Renee Robertson.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am, followed by the service at 11 am.
