Sherry Lynn Stephens, 70, of Honor, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Munson Medical Center. Sherry Lynn Stelzer was born on September 13, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Edward and Zoe (Hoffman) Stelzer. She married the love of her life, Michael Stephens on June 11, 1971 in Saginaw.

She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1969 and later received a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching from Saginaw Valley State College. Sherry had a wonderful 45-year career in education. Teaching fulltime and later as a fulltime substitute for Benzie Central Schools.

In her spare time, Sherry loved being outdoors, spending countless hours in her garden and potting shed. She enjoyed cooking and baking pies. She was also an avid reader and liked scrap booking. Above all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was her greatest joy.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 51 years, Michael, her daughter, Jodie Pickin and three grandchildren; Madi Pickin, Jayden Pickin and Ali Pickin. Also surviving are a brother, Ed (Lynn) Stelzer, a sister, Eddiedean Rivette, and a mother-in-law, Mary Lou Stephens as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws.

In accordance with Sherry's wishes cremation has taken place. Private family services are being planned for a later date.

In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial donation to the American Heart Association.
