Shirley Ann (Hatfield) Akers passed away peacefully on March 1, 2014 after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 83.

Shirley was born on October 6, 1930 in Detroit to the late Floyd and Helen (Nehmer) Hatfield.

Shirley graduated from T.C. High School in 1948. She retired from Cone Drive/Textron in 1995.

Shirley was devoted to her family and leaves behind her beloved sons Ronald (Debbie) Akers and David (Elena) Akers; four granddaughters and one grandson, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Donald G. Hatfield
