Shirley Ann Foreman, 75, of Traverse City died Sunday , July 29, 2012 at Munson Medical Center.

Shirley was born on Saturday, October 17, 1936 to the late Roelof and Kathryn (Hoitinga) Van Bruggen in Kalamazoo, MI.
She entered into marriage with Richard W Foreman on Friday, December 30, 1955 in Plainwell. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2012.

Having lived in the Traverse City area since 2010, moving here with her husband from Bear Lake where they had lived after moving there from Rockford, Shirley had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and also as a dental assistant. She attended East Bay Calvary Church and had been a member of Son Life Wesleyan Church in Beulah. She enjoyed singing, music, sewing, crafts, travel, the outdoors and especially the water. Shriely also was a volunteer at Munson Medical Center.

She is survived by her children, Pamela J. Tremlin of Dallas, TX; Kimberley (Michael) Kovich of Rockford; her grandchildren, Michael (Shanna) VanDyke of Dallas, Cassandra Acton of Grand Rapids, Ryan (Angie) Kovich of Lowell and Brad (Sadie) Kovich of Hasitngs. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Hannah and Claira Kovich, Jaxson and Dustin VanDyke and her sisters. Ruth (Bob) Tebo of Jerome, and Kathy VanBruggen and her husband Dan Cole of Mancelona, along with nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and infant son, Mark and her parents.

Memorial services for Shirley will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 1 at East Bay Calvary Church with Pastor Kendale Dennis officitiating.
