KINGSLEY — Shirley Florence Riggs, 86, of Kingsley, passed away March 18, 2011, at Munson Medical Center.Shirley was born Jan. 30, 1925, in Skinnyatlas, N.Y., to the late Milton and Netty (Manley) Leonard.Shirley was a very giving person and was always helping those in need. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed playing with her cats and watching cooking shows on TV. Shirley also enjoyed gardening.She is survived by her daughter, Colleen Francois; son, Timothy Riggs; son, Joel (Janie) Riggs; daughter, Noreen Riggs; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Shirley was preceded in death by her children, James and Kathleen.Visitation for friends and family will be held today, March 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, with visitation one hour prior, also at the funeral home.
