Stacy Lynn Manning, 45, of Interlochen, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Munson Medical Center
Stacy was born in Alpena on Wednesday, January 14, 1970 to Judy Kay (Lyons) and Michael Duane Manning. She grew up in Alpena and graduated from Alpena High School in 1988 where she was a Varsity cheerleader.
A "country girl", Stacy grew up on a farm where she developed her love for animals. She grew up involved in 4-H and showed her Quarter horse around the state for many years. She recently moved to a farm in Interlochen and had planned to raise all kinds of animals and share her fond childhood memories with her children. She had a love for country music, spending time with her family and was looking forward to traveling with her mom and sisters to the Dominican in November. Her greatest love was for her kids and she loved attending all of their events and school functions. She was very involved in the Long Lake PTA during the kids grade school years. She was a wonderful mother. Stacy was employed at Munson Medical Center since 2002 where she worked as a department secretary in the Social Work Department and then in the Emergency Department since 2010. Stacy loved her job and all of her co-workers and was known for her infectious smile and cute headbands.
She is survived by her beloved children, Abigail and Alexander; her mom Judy (Robert) Hoos of Alpena; her dad, Michael (Sandy) Manning of Alpena; a brother Michael E. (Janna Hawley) of Stephenson; her sisters, Dawn (Chris) Halleck of Traverse City and Brenda (Russ Dean) Manning of Alpena; grandmother, Edna Manning of Alpena; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her former husband Mark Bohamed of Interlochen.
The family would like to thank all of Stacy's co-workers at Munson for all of the support provided to Stacy in the past and for the outpouring of love and support now.
