Stephen C. Hook

Stephen Charles Hook, 93, of Traverse City and formerly of Hale, MI, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at Grand Traverse Pavilions, Willow Cottage in Traverse City.

Stephen was born on January 6, 1920 to the late William and Ethel (Coe) Hook in Detroit, MI.

Stephen honorably served in the United States Army during World War II. and later became employed with the City of Detroit as a police officer. Stephen moved to the Traverse City area five years ago due to health concerns and to be closer to family. He was a member of Masons, VFW, American Legion, and Detroit Police Officers Assoc.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Warchuck-Hook, his son, Stephen and his wife Vickie Hook of Mesa, AZ, and his daughter, Sharron Zimmerman, Traverse City, four grandchildren, Kathy and John Zimmerman, Stephen and Kyle Hook and many other loving family members and friends.

Stephen was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace B Hook, his parents and two brothers; Edward and Harry Hook.

Grave-side committal services with military honors will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hale, MI at a later date.
