Sterling "Nick" Maize, 62 of Traverse City passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2014.
Nick was born on May 11, 1952 in Traverse City to the late Sterling Nicholas Sr. and Imogene (Steele) Maize.
Nick worked through his life primarily at Tower Automotive and currently working the last several years at Charter Communications. He enjoyed cooking and most importantly music. He enjoyed playing in several bands over the years, including the Blue Sky Band playing the bass guitar.
Surviving Nick is his girlfriend Cindy Magee, children, Jacob Maize, Andrea Maize, William and Andrew Ammons, brother, Larry (Connie) Maize, Helen (Maize) Mace, previous wife Pam Ammons, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nick is preceded in death by his parents and sister Patricia Anne Maize.
