Steven Brent Jewell, 72, of Buckley passed away tragically on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Brent was born on December 16, 1943 in Buckley to Vernon Lewis and Vada Elaine (Lance) Jewell. He married Barbara Lynn Walsh on April 7, 1990 in Las Vegas.
Brent was a hardworking, kind, generous man that had a wonderful sense of humor. He had many jobs but mainly worked as an OTR truck driver and at the family farm for most of his life.
Reading and continuously learning about anything and everything brought great joy to Brent. He especially loved history and geography.
Most importantly Brent was a family man. He loved his mother, wife, children and grandchildren with all of his heart. He was a good man with a great sense of humor, an unforgettable laugh and a great personality. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Surviving Brent is his wife, Barbara; his mother, Vada; children, Steven Brent Jewell II, Stacy (Curtis) Stone, Daniel (Tammy) Jewell; grandchildren, Adam, Steven, Sierra, Glynnis, Hannah, Lydia, Caspar, Oliver and Killian; his sister Claudia (Phil) Jewell-Harris; and many other loving family members and friends.
Preceded in death by his father Vernon, daughters, Stephanie Pierce, and Stasha Kastenschmidt.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 2pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to – St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Montana or to the Women's Resource Center, both of which he was passionate about supporting.
