Stimson "Tim" Maurice Jayne, passed away April 6, 2022 at home.

Tim was born on March 18, 1953 in Morristown, New Jersey to the late Maurice J. and Helene Strauss (nee Roy, later Helene Cook). He graduated from Fenton High School in 1972. While in high school he enjoyed swimming and diving on the swim team. He also raised four heifers while living in Fenton, with the help of his then-stepfather, Bilton Jayne.

He owned and ran his own insurance agency called the Wayne Agency in Wayne, MI for 14 years and resided in Canton, Michigan. Following the death of his dear mother, he moved "up north" to Traverse City a number of years ago.

Tim loved a good joke, conversation and was a wonderful cook. All who knew him considered him a gentleman and great man who was a delight to be around. He enjoyed listening to classical music and traveling with his sister and mother over many years and adventures, including memorable trips to the Pacific Northwest and the shore of Lake Michigan up to Petoskey.

He enjoyed watching the NFL especially the Lions and discussing football.

Surviving Tim is his sister Roxanne (Ralph Elias) Jayne, his niece Natalie (Philippe Marrero) Bernstein, his nephew Roland and many other loving cousins, Church of Christ members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Traverse City Church of Christ on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 11am with a visitation beginning at 10am.
