Susan Elaine Aldrich, 67, of Traverse City, passed away April 18, 2026.

Sue was born on September 4, 1958, to the late Eugene and Evone (Couturier) Aldrich. Sue grew up in Traverse City and graduated from Traverse City Senior High School with her beloved Class of 1976. This is where she formed her closest relationships with her best friends of today. Following high school, she attended Northwestern Michigan College, where she studied hospitality management.

Sues strengths and confidence led her to a successful career in Hospitality . She began with the Traverse City Holiday Inn, continuing at Shanty Creek Resort , Pine Needles Golf Club, Pinehurst, Hawks Cay, and Crystal Mountain. Her work took her across the country starting in Northern Michigan, the Carolinas the Florida Keys, and eventually returning home to Traverse City in 2013 where she joined the team at Visit Up North.

Sue was athletic and enjoyed softball, skiing, golfing and tennis. Sue also enjoyed gardening. She loved a good game of euchere, especially when she was winning , which was often !

Above all else, Sue’s family held the most cherished place in her heart. She cared deeply for her nieces and nephews and was always closely connected to them. Ultimately she became her mother’s devoted and primary caregiver. Her mother was her best friend, and Sue missed her dearly after her passing.

Susan courageously battled cancer for over four years. She faced her illness with strength and determination, never complaining and always maintaining a positive outlook while seeking peace.

Sue was a loyal and devoted sister who could always be counted on by those she loved. She is already missed.

Sue was guided by a strong sense of faith and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with her mother and family.

Susan is survived by her siblings: Gary Aldrich, Anthony Aldrich, Patricia (Steve) Gravelyn, David (Linda) Aldrich, Barb (Bob) Witkop, and John (Karen) Aldrich; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Larry Aldrich, Annette Clouse, and Mark Aldrich; as well as a nephew and two nieces.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, with a sharing time and Rosary beginning at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Luncheon to follow.

Burial will take place following the luncheon at Oakwood Cemetery, next to many of her family members whom she joined in Heaven.
