Susan Patricia (Brown) Miner, 79, of Traverse City passed away August 6, 2023.

Born in Detroit on December 6, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Cecilia (Higgins) Brown.

Susan was a long time resident of the Grand Traverse area, after growing up in Elk Rapids. She was also a dedicated member of Christ the King parish.

She enjoyed a career with AT&T, where she established lifelong friendships with some of her colleagues. She was loved by all who knew her.

After retirement she enjoyed working part time and traveling with family and friends. She also loved spending her winters in the south.

Susan enjoyed volunteering for functions at Child and Family services and the DDA.

Susan is survived by her sons Todd (Amy)Miner and Matt Miner; grandchildren Grace of Grand Rapids, Ben and Claire of Traverse City; and siblings Sandra (Glenn) Paradis, Cecilia Gnadt, Thomas (Sharon) Brown, Timothy Brown as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Michael.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:30 am, visitation beginning at 10:30 am at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A luncheon will follow. Father Jarvis will serve as celebrant. Interment will take place at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Kewadin.

In remembrance of Susan, memorials may be directed to Child and Family Services or to Christ the King Catholic Church.
