Susan L. Reabe

Susan L. Reabe, age 60, of Traverse City, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in Sarasota, Florida.
Susan was born on April 5, 1964 in Flint to the late Jerry Woodrow and Linda Joan (Luce) Johnson.
Susan was a very caring and creative person. After graduating college in 1995, she worked as a Registered Nurse. Although Traverse City, MI was her home, she loved the time she spent living in Hawaii, where she enjoyed shelling along the beaches, gardening, painting and creating mixed media art. She had a passion for animals, which led her to start a local non-profit, H.O.P.E. (Helping Owners with Pet Expenses). Most notably, her family will remember her big heart, as she was passionate about helping others who were less fortunate.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Roxy) Little; siblings Mark (Jenna) Johnson, Karen Kinder, Lori (Dale) Harris; and her former husband Kevin Reabe. Susan was preceded in death by her first husband, George Little, in 2017.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 6 – 8 pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 2 pm, with visitation beginning one hour prior also at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery.
