Traverse City – Suzanne Jean "Suzie" Evans, 73, of Traverse City, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Grand Traverse Pavilions. Suzie was born on July 4, 1939 in Bay City, Michigan to late Arthur and Lillian (Pake) Pfundt. She married Robert G. Evans on April 19, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan and he survives.

Suzie was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, the Martha Guild and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She loved spending time with her family and was an avid reader who enjoyed baking. Suzie's gifts of faith, love, strength and kindness to others continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.


Surviving are her loving husband; Robert; two sons; Mark R. (Patricia) Evans; Brian A. Evans both of Traverse City and a daughter Jeannie (Ron) Binsfeld of Oostburg, WI; five grandchildren; Heather (Matthew) DeFer, Amanda (Jake) Tomlinson, Jonathan Binsfeld, Ron (Molly) Binsfeld and Michael Binsfeld (Becky Paris); three great-grandchildren; Ava, Carson and Autumn. Also surviving are a sister-in-law; Sandra (Dale) Hecht of Saginaw; several uncles, an aunt and many cousins.

Suzie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael Pfundt.

A Funeral Service honoring Suzanne will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 912 S. Garfield Rd., Traverse City, Michigan 49686, Pastor James Nihiser will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Traverse City, MI.

Friends are welcome to visit with Suzie's family at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., also at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
