Terrie Lee Cubby, 61, of Traverse City passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at University of Michigan Hospital. Terrie was born on March 26, 1955 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Fred and Viola (Nack) Allison. She was married to Robert "Bob" Cubby on October 18, 2003. Terrie's faith was a very important part of her life. She was a former member of Immaculate Conception and Christ the King Catholic Churches and a current member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She loved to sing in the church choirs. Terrie was also involved in the Diocese of Gaylord Cursillo Movement and the Thursday women's prayer group. Terrie had been employed with Denny's restaurant, the Goodwill Store of Traverse City and for a time she owned a salon in South Boardman. She loved her Alaskan Husky Patches, Mickey Mouse, line dancing and her beloved Chicago Cubs.
Terrie is survived by her loving husband, Bob, three stepchildren; Leanne (Aaron Figiel) Cubby, Robert "Donnie" Cubby and Amy (Nathan) Sheagley; four step-grandchildren; Alexandrea Hegedus, Kendra Sheagley, Brenton Sheagley and Braedon Sheagley. Also surviving are three brothers; Fred (Char) Allison, Charles (Carol) Roys and Michael (Diane) Allison, her God daughter, Kathleen Allison as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; John Roys and Ron Allison.
Friends are welcome to visit with Terrie's family on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 3:00 p.m., with visiting one hour prior on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 1025 S. Union, Traverse City, Michigan 49684. Rev. Fr. Kenneth R. Stachnik will officiate.
