TRAVERSE CITY — Terry Lee Cook, 57, of Traverse City, died Sept. 14, 2011, at his home. Terry was born on July 30, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Rex and Virginia (Saxton) Cook. On Sept. 12, 1975, Terry married the former Margaret "Peggy" Fitzpatrick at Cedar Point in Ohio. In 1999, Terry and his family moved to Traverse City. He was very active with the Boy Scouts and was a troop leader for several years. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and was a huge fan of NASCAR. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Terry was a good husband and father and will be deeply missed. Terry is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Michelle (Ben); son, Patrick( Keisha); sister, Irma; niece, Janice Oliveira, both of Kentucky; and special granddaughter, Destiny. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Edward Jarvis; and infant son, Jason A. Cook. The funeral for Terry will be held on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at 2 p.m., with visitation to begin at 1 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
