Theodore "Teddy" Frederick Bellant, 45, of Cadillac, and formerly of Traverse City, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital.

Teddy was born on Monday, October 11, 1971 in Traverse City to Theodore and Charlotte (Merchant) Bellant. He attended Traverse City High School. He found enjoyment in camping, playing cards, hunting, spending time with family and friends, but his greatest joy was his children.

Teddy is survived by his mother Charlotte (Ken) Brandys; father Theodore Bellant; children Theodore James Bellant and Jacob Bellant; sister Kathy (John) Andary; brothers Jason Bellant and Kevin (Stephanie) Bellant, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, also his partner Kathy Drew and her son Willie Drew.

He was preceded in death by sisters Kimberly Bellant and LeeAnn Bellant, maternal grandparents Clarence and Florence (Tripp) Merchant; paternal grandparents Euclid and Arbutus (Davenport) Bellant; and grandson Jacob Bellant Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m.
