Theresa was born on February 23, 1929 in Traverse City to the late Frank and Helen Denoyer DuCheney. On February 10, 1947, Theresa married the love of her life, Roderick A. Wood at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elk Rapids.

Theresa worked at Milliken's Department Store in lingerie for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing golf, dancing and traveling. After retirement, for over 17 years, she and Rod loved to travel in their motorhome around the country. Above all else, Theresa loved spending time with her family.

Theresa is survived by her husband Rod, her children Janice M. Weller, John D. Wood, Kim F. Wood and Mark S. Wood; grandchildren Jonas J. Weller, Nicole A. O'Brien, Holly M. Wood and John R. Wood; great grandchildren Natalia A. Toothman and Carson D. Toothman; sister Margaret Belanger and step-brother Fred Winowski. Theresa was preceded in death by her siblings Earl, Marie, Lucille, Betty, Kenneth and Ollie.

The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Theresa's life will be held on Monday, March 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Father Fred Foundation.
