Thomas Bee, Jr., of Traverse City passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. He was born on August 5, 1929 in Glen Carbon, Illinois. He moved to the Old Mission Peninsula in his early teens to live with his aunt and uncle and work on their farm.
He enlisted in the service at the age of 17, where he served in the occupational army in Germany after World War II. When he returned, he married and raised five children, while working at Cone Drive for over 35 years.
Tom loved to fish, play golf and always had the best-groomed yard in the neighborhood. He was a wonderful father, and on this Father's Day we will know he has found peace, and for that we will be grateful.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Barbara of 70 years, son Mike, daughter, Debbie, son Ted (Kathy), son Dennis (Karen), son Brian (Eileen), seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St, Traverse City, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, please give any donations to the Salvation Army or the Cherryland Humane Society.
