TRAVERSE CITY — Thomas Mathew McDaniel, longtime resident of Williamsburg, passed away March 11, 2011, at Bortz Healthcare in Traverse City. Mac was born on July 28, 1927, to the late Thomas and Julia (Davis-Warmack) McDaniel, in Bogota, Tenn. Mac answered the call of duty serving his country honorably as a member of the United States Army during World War II. On Feb. 19, 1949, Mac entered into marriage with the former Donna M. Moore, in Corinth, Miss. Mac was a lifetime member of the AMVETS #214 in Elk Rapids and the Masonic Lodge #264 of F&AM. Mac is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Donna M. McDaniel; his son, Steven (Diane) McDaniel, of Traverse City; his daughter, Lynn (Martin) Palmer, of Williamsburg; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Katherine; and many other loving family members and friends.Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Lois; and several siblings.
