Thomas Ford McNutt
Tom "Jumbo" McNutt, 56 years old, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2017 at Tendercare of Leelanau after a long a courageous battle with spinal cerebella-tic. He was born March 13, 1961 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Tom and Sally McNutt.
Tom graduated high school in Hampton VA, and Bay Area Vocational-Technical School of Fort Walton Beach, FL as an electrician. For over 25 years Tom worked in Atlanta and Destin FL area completing many high rise condominium projects. In his free time he loved his boat and going deep sea fishing and hunting at a cabin with his friends. He also liked riding dirt bikes, his quad runner and golfing. One of his greatest loves was his dog Dutchess. Toms sense of humor and ability to make everyone smile was one of his greatest attributes.
He is survived by his mother Sally McNutt of Traverse City, sister Michelle McIntosh of Lake Ann, nieces Tonya (Craig) Woodworth of Traverse City, Corrie (Pat) Reyna of Lake Ann, great nieces Kylie, Michaela and Mariyah, great nephew Corbin Thomas, Aunt, Uncle, cousins and many very close friends that were like family.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas F. McNutt and grandparents.
Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to be held on August 5, 2017 from 11 - 5 pm at 4852 Kodiak Drive, Traverse City, MI 49684.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Hospice of Michigan in Tom's name.
