Thomas "Tom" Ryan Parrott, 61, of Traverse City passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2018. Tom was born on December 30, 1955 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Bernard and Cathleen (Little) Parrott. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of Northwestern Michigan College. He had been employed as a Maritime Engineer, over the course of his career his job took him to countless ports of call, on the Oceans, Mississippi River and the Great Lakes. Tom loved Traverse City, and in 1993 he made it his permanent home. Tom also loved his Savanah Cats, riding his Harley Davidson and playing golf. He truly lived his life to its fullest.

Tom is survived by two brothers and a sister; Jon (Julia) Parrott, Linda Bartnik and Mark (Julianne) Parrott. Also surviving are nieces and nephews; Megan, Alisia, Carrie, Amanda and Evan as well as many cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Kyle Parrott and a brother-in-law, Wally Bartnik.

A celebration of Tom's life will take place from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the ParkShore Resort, 1401 U.S. 31, Traverse City, MI 49686.
