Thomas James Worden of Mikado, Michigan passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, surrounded by family at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan.
Tom is survived by Diana, his wife of 48 years, 10 months, and 9 days.
He is also survived by: Children Jebidiah (Meagan) Worden, Jennifer (Richard) Laughlin, and Jacob (Melissa) Worden. Grandchildren Chloe, Ava, Malikai, Catriona, Adilene, Bella, Astrid, and Theodore.
Siblings Dale Worden, Ruth Marrion, Christina Human, and Nancy Dubois. Special niece Robin Smalley and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents Frank Sr & Leona Worden, brother Frank Jr Worden, and sister Dianna Miller.
Tom was well-known for his kindness, generosity, and desire to help others. He was quick to chuckle and crack a joke. He loved farming, drag racing, fishing, working on cars, and his large garden. Though most of all, he loved his family. Upon retirement, Tom, with the assistance of others, built his and Diana's retirement home in Mikado. Until retirement, he was a lifelong resident of Grass Lake, and always considered it home.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held in the Grass Lake area at a later date.
